Hello, Welcome!
We are the Howe Family. Our journey started long ago when both our parents instilled a love for gardening and self-sufficiency. We are 4th generation farmers and yet we still didn't grow many herbs growing up. It wasn't until we had our own kids that all things changed.
Herbs changed EVERYTHING for our family. One sickness after another. We were that family who was always sick in our town. The comments got old. You need to wash your hands better; the kids need to eat healthier, and you need to not go to so many places. Inside as parents, we didn't know what to do. We felt helpless, which is the worst feeling when you have 103-104 fever and no end in sight. Not days, but weeks of sickness.
INSERT ELDERBERRY HERE >>>> A friend said, "Have you researched any herbs like elderberry?" We had dabbled in them and grown them, but nothing consistent. So, we tried someone else's elderberry kit, which led us to falling down the rabbit hole on holistic medicine and what other immune boosting herbs would pair with elderberry. We took elderberry daily and then the next month when people around us were sick, WE WERENT! Thinking it was maybe a fluke we continued and again months later, come wintertime, same results. It wasn't a fluke at all. Our immune systems were not healthy. They needed a boost, and elderberry was the answer.
We have been gardening and making homemade soaps for 12 years but adding herbs to skincare was a whole new level of amazing! This is when Howe Home & Harvest was born. First and foremost, for our love for the Lord, but also what he provides. We fully believe that we have everything we need that the Lord has provided in nature already!! We want to help others be healthier in what they put on their skin and teach the next generation to become healthier by non-traditional healthcare methods, which includes herbs that naturally boost the immune system!
